How low can I make a best offer for on Ebay for a product with a beginning price of $160?
It is for 20 large Winsor & Newton artist oil bars. These bars have been discontinued and replaced with a newer updated version of the product. They are selling for $8 each, for a total of $160 for 20. Plus $12 shipping. However, the seller has put up an option for buy now OR best offer. I work part time 16 hrs a week and go to college full time to study art. So I am on a VERY tight budget. Can I make an offer of $5 each on these for a total of $100+$12 shipping? Is this asking too much? An even better situation for me would be $4 each for a total of $80+12 shipping. The seller has about 1,700 of these and they don't seem to be selling very fast. Then again, I want to be as fair as possible. Would that be asking too much? Please give me some good recommendations! Thank you!
Let me add that the seller has 1,747 of these available and none have sold since May 24th.
Well, all you can do is just try. If the offer doens't seem reasonable to the seller, they will reject it. You want to make your offer as reasonable as possible. Just remember, if they reject it, you won't get to put in another offer. What you could do first is actually email the seller and see if they would take the offer. This way, you will be able to give another offer in case they don't accept the first. Good luck.
